There are two potentially juicy bets to be had on tonight’s ESL ESEA Pro League fixtures, which revolve around Team Dignitas.
Team Dignitas (11/8 bet365) v Titan (8/11 Skybet)
I mulled over as to whether I should post this as it’s such a potential advantage to the punter it’s unreal and we’ve been unable to clarify whether Aizy will also be able to stand in for their later matches. Dignitas in-game leader MSL tweeted earlier today the following:
Playing the entire match with just four players? That’s a huge disadvantage for any team. It would mean that Titan should be closer to a 1/20 (1.05) price than their current odds as it would be almost impossible for Dignitas to win.
RUBINO tweeted pictures of himself in his car which was packed full of his belongings. It would appear he left the house around 10am CET this morning. He tweeted “Me and dawg is ready for Norway!!”. He can be seen clutching onto his pet dog with all his possessions behind him. He also tweeted shortly after saying that he was moving back to Norway. It is possible he left earlier with someone else driving but there is strong sunlight in the image and it does not look like the car is moving. The sun rose at 07:47 CET in Malmo which is the city you have to pass through from Copenhagen to enter Sweden. Knowing this, it would be very difficult to get home in time for the Titan match albeit not impossible for the Penta fixture.
After some research it appears that he from Trondheim, Trondheim is a 12 hour road trip from Malmo or 11 hours without traffic. He tweeted saying he’s looking forward to seeing his friends and family, so we’re pretty certain that means he is going there. The fact he is moving at all also suggests this.
If we’re correct there should be no chance he’ll be back to play tonight. The bookmakers haven’t realised and won’t react to that news.
Recommended Bet:
Titan to win with SkyBet at 4/7 (1.57) or bet365 at 8/15 (1.53)
Team Dignitas (4/7 bet365) v Penta (6/4 Skybet)
There is a slim chance RUBINO will make it back for the Penta game if he puts his foot down and breaks the speed limit. He would then need to rig up his gaming PC and be in the mood to play.
This sort of bet could potentially be cancelled or re-adjusted to the new re-calculated odds. We don’t believe that is the case, as this is an inherent risk within CounterStrike but the bookmaker may argue it because Team Dignitas are at a massive disadvantage. When a player is sent off in soccer the team who loses that player will see their odds drift. If the bookmakers kept their eyes peeled they’d of known this would be happening and they’d re-price accordingly, but they haven’t. We should get away with this type of bet this time.
Additionally, it is possible Penta are that bad that they can’t beat a team of 4, but that would be tragic if that were the case. Titan won’t allow Dignitas a moment’s peace and should rip through them. Either way, the odds are wrong and we have to capitalise. There is a chance dignitas play with 4 and that possibility has to be priced in. We’re on, are you?
