With the Cluj-Napoca Major just around the corner there are no LAN events this weekend, and only online competitions such as the weekly FACEIT and ESL ESEA Pro League events to keep us entertained.
TSM are the biggest team talent wise to take part in the Acer Predator Masters, where $40,000 is up for grabs at the offline final. Considering there are 8 spots available you’d be amazed if TSM didn’t breeze through to the finals. Firstly, they need to negotiate group A and first up they will take on SK Gaming at 19:00 GMT on Friday. This is the opening fixture for both teams, so both sides should be fully motivated, and whilst TSM are unlikely to want to show any new strats, they have been competing and winning in a number of online tournaments over the past week.
SK Gaming currently have a win rate of 36% having won 18 of their 50 games since formation. Unfortunately for them they lost the other 32. TSM on the other hand in their last 197 games have enjoyed a 64% win rate having won 127 games, losing the other 70 games.
TSM have met SK Gaming just once, back in September in the ESL ESEA Pro League, in a BO1 on Dust2 which TSM took with ease 16-4, where they won the CT side 12-3.
TSM come into this game as massive favourites, priced at 1.10 with Unikrn, and rightly so. TSM are sat nicely in the top 3 of the best teams in the world currently and bar blips against NiP recently, they’d be on a record breaking 24+ game winning streak. SK are very much a work in progress and we won’t beat around the bush in regards to their chances. We fully expect TSM to win their map comfortably, and they have a good chance of beating SK on whatever is thrown up as the second map. We recommend getting on the -1 handicap with Unikrn priced at 1.80.
