Luxbet Review
Luxbet Review – Introduction:
Luxbet was launched by its owner, the well-known Tabcorp, in September 2008, making it one of the later entries to the online sports betting market. As such, they offer a generous $150 bonus bet to entice new punters to their platform. This is excellent for CSGO fans because Luxbet also have the best product range in terms of esports betting compared to any other Australian bookmaker. This stems from their partnership with Unikrn as they use the same trading team and odds.
Luxbet are licensed in Northern Territory and are an official sports betting operator for the NRL, AFL, Tennis Australia, Cricket Australian and the Australian PGA.
Reputation and Reliability:
The fact Luxbet is backed and ultimately owned by Tabcorp, means you need not worry about their reputation. Within their group, which is one of the largest wagering companies in the world, they have 2,500 retail outlets in Australia. Tabcorp is the same company that has a stake in Unikrn, the only legitimate Esports only bookmaker. We haven’t had any issues ourselves or found any major complaints online worth including in our review: the overall feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.
Luxbet – CSGO Betting:
Thanks to the Unikrn partnership, Luxbet offer a huge variety of different markets and CSGO competitions to bet on. This includes your typical match winners, outright tournament winners and handicaps. As Luxbet use Unikrn’s prices and not a standard third party provider, there’s often a lot of value to be had. Their margins are competitive and this is especially good considering they price up all the European and American online competitions.
Luxbet – eSports history:
Luxbet as a brand has not made any particular moves within Esports. However, their parent company, Tabcorp, is the global wagering partner of and owns part of Unikrn, an Esports only bookmaker. Thus, most of their activities within Esports are carried out under that brand. Luxbet benefits from this deal as they offer the same betting markets as Unikrn. Therefore, you can bet on all sorts of games and a wide range of matches at competitive prices.
Payment Options:
As you’d expect from a major sports betting operator, Luxbet allow all the popular deposit options. You can deposit via Credit Card (Visa and Mastercard), Skrill (formerly known as Moneybookers), POLi, BPAY and bank transfer.
Accepted currencies are Australian Dollars, Euros, Pounds Sterling and US Dollars. That’s because they also accept customers from some countries outside of Australia and New Zealand, but that’s where their focus lies.
Customer Support:
Luxbet pride themselves on resolving customers’ queries as quickly as possible. They have a live chat option, which should always be the first port of call if you need assistance. If you aren’t in a hurry, you can submit an email via their “email us” form on the support page. Want to phone? Ring 1300 589 238 to speak to a customer support rep.
Website & Betting Options:
Luxbet uses a horizontal navigation menu to select sports. Upon clicking your chosen sport you are presented with a drop-down menu to select from. Novice users could find this slightly confusing. It is most definitely not the norm for a sports betting operator to have their site setup like this. It’s actually unique in this sector and is more similar to retail websites.
That said, it’s not a bad thing at all. It is straightforward to use once you’ve got used to it, and you can also customise it. You can put all the sports (such as Esports!) that are important to you into the top bar for easier navigation in the future.
When you select a sport you are presented with a list of leagues or tournaments displayed in the navigation menu. You need to use the scroll bars to find a specific country or league you want to bet on. The exact details vary depending on the sport. From there you’re only a few clicks away from actually being able to place your bet. It can take a little while to find what you’re looking for, which isn’t ideal and maybe needs some improvements considered.
Once you’re into the chosen sport/league/competition, the odds display is one of the cleanest we’ve seen. It’s incredibly easy from this point to select the bet you want to place – it’s just a shame it takes some effort to get this far.
The bet slip is displayed on the right hand side of the page. The odds are displayed in decimals as you’d expect. Once you’ve chosen what you want to bet on you’ll be asked to confirm the selection before your bet is placed. This is great should you realise you’ve made a mistake, but annoying that it can’t be disabled in case you’re in a rush to get a bet on at the last second. That’s not so likely for CSGO matches though.
You can find the Esports market by clicking on “More” on the second line of the navigation bar. Markets will only show on here if they’ve priced up the event, so from time to time it might be empty – but that’s unlikely given the huge number of matches that they take bets on.
If you’re that way inclined you can place multis. Cheer on your favourite teams and enhance your returns if they all win.
Sports Markets:
All the sports that you expect are available at Luxbet and they are particularly focused on horse racing and cricket. There are plenty of specials on American sports too and you’ll find soccer and football as well.
Other Products:
There are no other products because Luxbet ensure they are whiter than white in terms of ensuring that everything they offer is completely legal.
Verdict:
Luxbet’s website isn’t our favourite as it feels slightly clumsy – but that’s more than made up for by the fact that they have the best CSGO betting markets including the widest range of different bet types and they cover the most events. Once you’ve taken a couple of minutes to get your head around how to find the markets you’ll be able to bet with one of the best bookmakers around.
